Day 4 - Our first (basalt) samples

Yesterday’s disappointment at retrieving only carbonate rocks was replaced by joy in response to sampling basalt on dredge 3.

After a gruelling few hours of re-learning rock identification from undergraduate geology, we mourned our rusty skills over doughnuts.
